Stop making it complicated. The best strength exercises are the ones we'd do if we were cavemen sitting around a campfire trying to figure out who was the strongest.
We'd see who can lift the largest rock off the ground; who can lift the largest rock over head; who can lift the largest load on their back; who can pull the heaviest weight and who can push the heaviest weight. Or, the deadlift, the overhead press, the squat, the row and the bench press.
And to be honest, we'd probably just do the first two.
